Victory would have seen visitors Persiter leapfrog PSM Makassar and Persipura Jayapura into first place in the standings but Victor Da Silva's winner 10 minutes from time settled the match in favour of the home side, who claimed victory for only the second time this season.

It is only the second time in nine matches that Persiter had tasted defeat this year.

In the biggest comeback of the day, Persekabpas Pasuruan rallied from a two-goal deficit to beat Persis Solo 4-2.

Persis stunned the home side early in the second half with goals by Esteban Busto after 50 minutes and Rudi Widodo four minutes later, giving the visitors a 2-0 advantage.

However, Michael Ikene Ikenwa pulled back a goal on 58 minutes and then levelled the score from the penalty spot in the 74th minute.

Ahmad Junaidi put Persekabpas in front before Rully Padengke sealed victory in the closing minutes.

Persmin Minahasa came from a goal down to beat Persiba Balikpapan in the day's only other Eastern Conference game.

In the Western Conference, PSIS Semarang downed struggling Persikota Tangerang 2-0 while Persela Lamongan and Persikabo Bogor drew 1-1.
