The 27-year-old forward has arrived at the club on a 10-day trial from Dutch second tier outfit FC Dordrecht as he looks for a fresh start in Wellington.

Phoenix CEO Tony Pignata told au.fourfourtwo.com: "Eddy is someone we've been aware of for a while and he's been training with us this week.

"He will play this weekend (against Victory in Queenstown) and we'll see how he goes."

Wellington have already brought in former Tranmere Rovers striker Chris Greenacre but there is still room for another forward in the squad. An under 20 player is also still on the pre-season shopping list.
