Qatar SC and Al Wakra have advanced to the quarter-finals of Qatar`s Emir Cup following 2-1 victories over Al Ahli and Al Siliya respectively.
Qatar SC saw off relegated Al Ahli thanks to a brace from national team striker Sebastian Soria, who opened the scoring in the 20th minute before adding another three minutes later.
Al Ahli pulled a goal back through their Ghanaian striker Celestine Mbarasim with 10 minutes to go but it wasn't enough as Qatar SC set up a last eight clash with league champions Al Sadd.
Two goals from Bosnian striker Darko Metrovic helped Al Wakra seal a meeting with league runners-up Al Gharafa in the next round after they overcame Al Siliya.
Metrovic bagged his first of the game in the 23rd minute before adding another goal three minutes into the second half.
Al Siliya`s cut the deficit through striker Hadi Al Marri in the 73rd minute but were unable to fashion an equaliser.
