Qatar's hopes of progressing to the quarter-finals of the AFC Asian Cup were wiped out when they slipped to a 2-1 defeat at the hands of Gulf Cup champions, the United Arab Emirates.
The Emirates claimed their first win in Group B despite already being eliminated from the competition and the result means Japan and Vietnam progress to the knockout phase.
