Qatar claimed a hard-fought 1-0 victory over Turkmenistan in a friendly match at Al Sadd stadium on Monday.
Midfielder Waleed Jassim netted the only goal of the game from a powerful free-kick in the 61st minute to sink a resolute Turkmenistan side.
Qatar head to Bangkok on Tuesday ahead of Saturday's match against Thailand before moving on to Vietnam for the Asian Cup.
