The 22-year-old, who helped his country take bronze at the Olympic Games over the summer, currently plies his trade with K-League outfit Chunnam Dragons, the former club of Sunderland striker Ji Dong-Won.

And, with a reported fee of 800,000 pounds agreed for the transfer, Chunnam coach Hah Seok-Ju has expressed excitement at the defender's move to a 'bigger stage'.

"Deal is done quickly as January transfer market is only a week left. As a coach, I always wanted Yoon to go to a bigger stage" Seok-Ju told Sports Seoul.

"He was not in my 2013 season plan in the first place. Personally, I wanted him to go to Germany. As we can see in Ji Dong-Won's case, England is difficult place to adapt.
 
"QPR are in relegation zone but still have many games to play. Even if they were relegated, it's not bad for Yoon. He would still learn a lot from there.

"QPR would be promoted to EPL again as they're financially good."
