The partnership sees Hyundai extend their existing involvement with FIFA, the Australian national football teams including the Socceroos and the Matildas, and the Hyundai A-League to reach the state and community level of Queensland’s most participated sport.

Football Queensland Chief Executive Officer Geoff Foster was pleased with the new partnership, saying Hyundai’s decision to extend their involvement in Queensland further confirms their position as the preferred motor vehicle company for the sport of football throughout Australia.

“Hyundai are fantastic supporters of football at many levels. Our partnership will extend that support through the Hyundai Queensland State League and on to the community level of the sport state wide” said Foster.

“It’s a very exciting time for our sport here in Queensland, and we look forward to working closely with our new partners Hyundai over the coming years.”

According to Hyundai Regional Deputy General Manager Phil Oates, the partnership decision was based on a number of factors.

“With the forward momentum of football in Queensland, and the high quality of competition presented this season by the Hyundai QSL, we see this partnership as a fantastic fit with the Hyundai brand, and the perfect extension to our current involvement with football Australia wide” said Oates.

Under the new deal, Hyundai now hold major partnership status with Football Queensland and naming rights to the Hyundai QSL just as its inaugural season comes to a close.
