Walter Smith believes Rangers are finally displaying some consistency after recording a 2-0 win over Hibernian in the Bank of Scotland Premier League.
A string of poor results damaged the Ibrox club's domestic campaign earlier in the season but they remain undefeated in the league since Smith's return as manager in January.
Smith told Setanta Sports: "We're delighted with the result. I've mentioned on numerous occasions that inconsistency has plagued Rangers over the season.
"Hopefully we are getting towards a level of consistency now. In six league games we have drawn one and won the others.
"Without being terrific in our overall play, we are difficult to beat."
Charlie Adam helped himself to a double thanks to blunders from goalkeeper Simon Brown.
And Hibs boss John Collins told Setanta Sports: "We shot ourselves in the foot, giving away two poor goals.
"From our point of view it gave us a bit of a mountain to climb.
"We are obviously disappointed. It's always difficult when you give goals away."
Goalkeeper Andrew McNeil has not featured since the 1-0 defeat to Celtic last month through injury but he could be back between the posts next week.
Collins added: "We will watch the game on video and we'll sit down and pick the team next week. I'm sure he will come into our thoughts."
Brown`s positioning allowed Adam to net a superb free-kick to open the scoring, before the Hibs goalkeeper spilled another set-piece between his legs for the second goal.
Speaking of the opener, Adam told Setanta Sports: "He showed me too much space. As soon as I hit it, I knew it was going in."
He added: "That`s 10 goals I`ve got for the season now and hopefully I can get a couple more before the end of the season.
"To get two goals at Easter Road is very satisfying.
"From the first whistle to the last, we played very well."
