The Ibrox club had dared not contemplate the possibility of triumphing in Europe, as well as all three domestic competitions.

But last night's 2-0 win over Sporting Lisbon to reach the semi-final of the UEFA Cup has altered the mentality in the dressing room, according to Naismith.

And, with the CIS Insurance Cup already in the bag, the striker sees no reason why Rangers cannot claim the three remaining prizes also.

The focus now turns to Sunday's Scottish Cup quarter-final replay against Partick Thistle and Naismith insisted: "We are in the semi-final of one, the quarter-final of another and we are going well in the league so we have every chance."

But he is adamant there is no chance of Rangers taking success for granted, adding: "We have won one trophy and we could lose the other three if we don't go about our jobs in the right way.

"The management staff have drilled that into us. We will just go about our day to day routine and hopefully win a few more trophies."

Walter Smith and his backroom staff have also no doubt warned the players of the threat posed by Partick this weekend.

The First Division outfit earned another crack at Rangers at their Firhill home after leaving Ibrox with a 1-1 draw last month.

And Naismith believes this tussle will be an opportunity to make amends for that disappointing showing.

"They caused us a few problems and we have to try to combat that," he said.

"Our performance wasn't the best and I'm sure the boys who play this weekend will want to put on a show for the manager."

Naismith may have been the star man at Kilmarnock but has found himself kicking his heels on the sidelines more often than he would have liked since his summer switch to Rangers.

He is hoping the sheer volume of games yet to come means the fringe players will finally be given a chance to impress the manager.

He said: "There have been a lot of games for quite a few of the boys and the size of squad will come into play now.

"Some boys have not been happy with not playing every week. But this is the time in the season when the games are coming thick and fast and I'm sure we will get a fair crack of the whip.

"I would have liked a few more appearances but I'm just glad to be part of this rollercoaster first season."
