Did the Socceroos do Timmy justice? See how they rated.
Martin Boyle – 8.5
In the first half he played like a man who had recently been introduced to Tim Tams, full of energy, joy and profound love of country.
He caused Lebanon trouble with every touch and deserved his first goal. His second goal was a lovely little gift. He also provided Leckie with an excellent assist.
Tomi Juric – 4
Another disappointing night for an Australian number 9. Players in this position should strike fear in the opposition every time they have the ball. That’s what Tim Cahill did at his best.
Juric couldn't live up to the great man tonight. He fluffed the few chances he was given and he didn’t create anything of note for a team mate.
Subs
Danny Vukovic – 6
He had slightly more to do than Ryan but he still got a bit bored at times.
Matthew Leckie – 6
Thumped home an excellent finish. He also set up Nabbout for what should have been a goal but his fellow substitute couldn’t beat the keeper.
Andrew Nabbout – 5.5
It’s great to see him back on the pitch and he did well in his limited time, but he needed to finish his chances. Hitting the post is better than missing completely but there are no points for it.
Tim Cahill – 12
Nothing needs to be said.
Jimmy Jeggo – 5
Had a couple of touches but not enough to judge properly.
Matt Jurman
Didn’t work up a sweat.
