The AC Milan playmaker has long been mentioned as a target of the Spanish champions but Calderon believes Kaka would struggle to get into Bernd Schuster's squad.

He told Spanish radio station Onda Madrid: "We have such a strong squad that maybe Kaka would not have a place. This may seem an arrogant statement but is is not.

"We have a squad that can win everything.

"In the winter market neither are any of our players going to leave nor are we going to sign anyone because the squad is complete, one of the best in Europe.

"There is no reason to bring in anybody nor let anyone go."

One man whose Bernabeu career is set to be extended is Holland striker Ruud van Nistelrooy.

Calderon is a great admirer of the former PSV Eindhoven and Manchester United star and revealed his current deal will be renewed.

"Van Nistelrooy's contract will be renewed after 35 games and if he does not play it will be because of injury or something strange, and it will be automatically renewed," added Calderon.

"Players such as him deserve to be rewarded. He is an extraordinary person, and it would be nice if he shared the pichichi (top scorer award) with Raul this season."

Madrid are top of the Primera Liga, four points ahead of arch-rivals Barcelona, who they meet at the Nou Camp on Sunday.
