TOTTENHAM boss Harry Redknapp is waiting for an apology from Howard Webb after the Rotherham referee's controversial decision at Old Trafford last week.
Manchester United were awarded a penalty that offered them a way back into the match, and Sky Sports pundit Chris Kamara phoned Redknapp up and told him to expect a call from Webb.
"I got a message from Chris Kamara, who was at a dinner with Webb and he spoke to him," Redknapp said. "He said that he was going to ring me as he admitted that he made a mistake.
"But he never didn't do it on purpose. It was a mistake - what can you do? It is history."
Despite defeat to United, Spurs are still in the hunt for a Europa League place.
Redknapp lost Darren Bent to a knee injury this week but has been training with Robbie Keane and Jermain Defoe up front.
If they play against West Brom this weekend it would be the first time they have started together since they both returned to the club in January.
While previously at the club they were seen as too similar in build to form a partnership, but Redknapp said: "Maybe in their spell together at Tottenham, nobody could play together.
"If you look at the results, they had a long spell of not winning games.
"The year before they had that great year with Martin Jol and finished fifth - I don't know how many times they played together that year - but the following year they were a bottom-half-of-the-table team.
"If you can play through Luka Modric and Keane, with the movement of Defoe it could be a fantastic pairing."
Redknapp insists he wants to keep the current squad together - even players who are not in the team and unsettled - and add two or three more who are at the top of their game.
"I just want players who can come in and make us a better team," he said.
"The players that I have in mind are playing very well and in their prime."
