The west London side have recorded back-to-back wins over Southampton and Sunderland in recent weeks to vastly enhance their chances of survival in the Premier League.

First-team coach Joe Jordan this week hailed the impact January arrivals Christopher Samba, Andros Townsend, Jermaine Jenas and Loic Remy have had on the team.

But with Villa's return of six points from a possible 12 pushing them out of the relegation zone, Redknapp is aware that the result at Villa Park on Saturday could go some way to deciding the layout of the run-in.

"(The game against Aston Villa is) not make or break but it's massive to how the table will look on Sunday morning. We need a result," Redknapp said.

Redknapp remains upbeat regarding QPR's chances of avoiding relegation, despite being four points adrift of 17th-placed Villa, citing the reduced pressure on his team's shoulder's due to their perilous situation.

"All along, I've said we can survive. These two wins (Southampton and Sunderland) have given us confidence," he added.

"We're in good form - just two defeats in the last nine games. We were given no hope and the pressure isn't on us so much."
