Speaking after the club's 0-0 draw against Norwich in the Premier League, Redknapp said he did not know how long Remy would be missing.

The forward joined the Loftus Road side in the January transfer window for a then-club record eight million pounds, and is understood to be on about 80,000 pounds a week in wages.

However, after the striker was left out of the squad for the visit of the Canaries, Redknapp has revealed that Remy suffered an injury in training, and as yet there is no set return date.

"(Remy) tore a groin muscle yesterday," Redknapp told reporters, when asked about the striker's absence.

"No idea at the moment (how long he'll be out for).

"He got a groin (injury) last minute of training yesterday. Struck a ball and felt it go."

Meanwhile, Norwich manager Chris Hughton has injury worries of his own.

He confirmed that Anthony Pilkington will miss the Republic of Ireland's clash against Poland on Wednesday after limping off with a hamstring injury.

The winger left the match with 24 minutes gone, heading straight down the tunnel, and though Hughton admitted that he did not know the severity of the problem, he stated that the club will be withdrawing him from international duty.

"It's his hamstring," Hughton confirmed to reporters over his injury.

"We'll assess how bad it is, but at the moment, certainly, we will be pulling him out of the Irish squad. We'll see how bad it is over the next day or so."

The manager said that he was looking for a reaction from his team after a poor spell for the club, and added that he was pleased his team had a goalkeeper who "guessed the right way", after Mark Bunn's penalty save from Adel Taarabt.

"I think every point away from home in this division is a good point, particularly against a team that's been in good form. I was at the game in midweek and I thought they were value for their draw, so yes, a good point for us," he said.

"We're on the back of a dip in form, which has seen us not pick up many points, and we needed a reaction. We got that, certainly in midweek against Tottenham, against a very good offensive team.

"We knew it was going to be tough today, a game that QPR would of course want to win with the position they are in. It was a tough game, but I thought a draw was a fair result.

"From our point of view, certainly it was a good save. No complaints with the penalty. Fortunately for us, we've got a keeper that guessed the right way."
