PROMISING Australia youth international goalkeeper Dean Bouzanis has been released by English Premier League giants Liverpool by mutual consent.
Bouzanis was regarded as one of the most exciting young goalkeepers in the world when he joined the Reds in 2007.
But the Australia and Greece youth international never made a first-team appearance for the club and has spent most of this season battling for a place in Liverpool's reserves side.
Bouzanis, who was loaned out to League Two club Accrington in 2010, was behind goalkeepers Pepe Reina, Brad Jones and Peter Gulacsi at Liverpool.
The Sydney-born shot-stopper is understood to be keen to chase first-team football.
Bouzanis wrote on his Twitter account on Sunday: "Eager to see what lies around the corner!"
