Adelaide United have signed one of their rock-solid backline to a three-year deal.
Jordan Elsey was a star performer under Marco Kurz this season, quickly surging through the ranks to become one of the A-League's star centrebacks.
The 24-year-old shone under Kurz's defensively-organised mantra and will now remain with the club until the end of the 2020/21 season. Elsey even wore the captain's armband on multiple occassions.
“I’m very happy,” Elsey said. “The club showed faith in me throughout all my injuries and now I want to repay that faith by playing well for them and being successful together.
“To grow up idolising Adelaide United and now to play for them in front of my friends and family week in week out, it’s something special.
“Me being a younger player, growing into a more experienced player now, I obviously have to step up and become more dominating on the pitch.
“I want to do that and I’m still learning but I’m just excited. I’m already missing playing football, so I’m looking forward to getting back with the boys and working hard for success.
“I feel like the club is going in the right direction and I’m excited to be a part of that.”
