SOCCEROO Rhys Williams continued his successful recovery from long-term injury with a goal on Saturday as Middlesbrough drew 3-3 with Leicester City in England's Championship.
Williams, who recently returned from a 10-month pelvic injury, was moved from defence into midfield for the game and looked comfortable in the role.
And the Perth-born defender/midfielder found the back of the net 10 minutes into the second-half to make it 3-2 with his side trailing.
Williams produced a fine volleyed finish from 25 yards after flicking the ball up to himself.
Boro boss Tony Mowbray said: "Taking Rhys Williams out of the back line was a massive decision because he's done fabulously well in recent games as a centre-half.
“Thankfully it paid dividends when he scored."
