Bayern Munich midfielder Franck Ribery has threatened to leave the troubled Bundesliga giants if they do not manage to secure Champions League football for next season.
Bayern are third in the Bundesliga standings, three points behind leaders Wolfsburg and one behind Hertha Berlin who occupy the other Champions League spot.
Ribery's name has already been linked with many of Europe's top clubs, including Barcelona, who knocked Bayern out of Europe's premier club competition in the quarter-finals.
Bayern have always insisted that the France midfielder, who is under contract until 2011, is not for sale, but the 26-year-old has warned that he could walk out of the door if they fail to finish in the top two.
"It would be very difficult to stay in these conditions, that's certain," Ribery told L'Equipe. "That's why the club have to at all costs finish second at the very least."
Jurgen Klinsmann paid the price for Bayern's poor season when he was sacked on Monday, two days after his side's home defeat to Schalke.
The former Germany striker was replaced by Jupp Heynckes until the end of the season and Ribery believes that was the right decision.
"We felt that the net was tightening around him," he added. "The pressure from the supporters was really strong.
"After Saturday's defeat against Schalke we knew that something would happen.
"When you are at Bayern you are under the obligation to win each match. Here, we are only third."
