Bayern Munich winger Franck Ribery is confident that the club can continue their success under new manager Pep Guardiola.
The Spaniard took his first training session at the Bundesliga champions on Thursday as the former Barcelona coach looks to build on the success of his predecessor Jupp Heynckes.
Bayern completed an unprecedented treble last season as they added the UEFA Champions League and DFB-Pokal to their league title success.
But Ribery believes the team will continue to improve with Guardiola in charge.
"I think we'd been waiting for this for a long time and to have Pep here now is great," he said.
"I think Pep was very happy to become Bayern Munich coach and he is happy for us and our success and he wants to carry it on.
"Keeping the same lever, that's important to know for us. We know it's not going to be easy for him, there is a lot of pressure on the coach but we are here for him. All the players need to communicate and be focused from the start, we can't be slacking.
"That's just the way it has to be. We have to train and play well."
