NEW Zealand coach Ricki Herbert has named 21 of the players he took to the World Cup for the upcoming friendlies against Honduras and Paraguay.
Plymouth striker Rory Fallon has not been considered following a hernia operation while Wellington pair Andy Barron and James Bannatyne retired from the game shortly after returning from South Africa.
Cole Peverley, drafted into the All Whites camp as injury cover for Tim Brown, is the only player in the 23-man squad who was not on duty at the World Cup.
"Selecting the 23 for South Africa was among the toughest decisions I've had to make but it was of paramount importance that we give those players who went to South Africa a chance to thank the public for the overwhelming support," Herbert told www.nzfootball.co.nz.
He added: "It's fantastic to have two World Cup opponents here in New Zealand so close after the World Cup.
"It is a great way of concluding the 2010 campaign, but it's also important to announce the start a long hard campaign towards Brazil 2014."
The squad includes three Premier League players on Winston Reid (West Ham), Chris Wood (West Brom) and captain Ryan Nelsen (Blackburn).
