WELLINGTON Phoenix coach Ricki Herbert says his biggest concern is his side's failure to take their chances in front of goal after Saturday's 3-0 home defeat to Central Coast Mariners.
The Phoenix slumped to their second consecutive defeat at Westpac Stadium on Saturday, after the 4-1 hammering from Brisbane Roar 10 days ago.
Herbert said Saturday's performance was not as poor as the Brisbane loss but admitted he still had concerns by the manner of the defeat, as the club's top six aspirations took another hit.
"I don't think it was quite a Brisbane performance but we've got nothing from it," Herbert said.
"We had some good spells but we probably didn't take opportunities and that's probably my biggest concern at the moment.
"Last year we would put somebody away like that - at least get ourselves on top and score - and we didn't really look like it tonight."
Wellington's next match is away to Newcastle Jets on Saturday.
