Spain winger Albert Riera has hailed forwards David Villa and Fernando Torres as one of the best strike partnerships in the world.
The pair have scored 43 goals between them for their country and are set to spearhead the attack in the upcoming World Cup qualifying double header against Turkey.
Spain are looking to build on a 100% record from their opening four matches in Group Five and Riera knows that a lot of the credit must go to their strikers.
"I don't know if it is the best partnerships in the world but it is undoubtedly one of the best, that's for sure," he said. "There are many national teams with very good strikers but Fernando and David's numbers count.
"There is a lot ahead for Fernando and David has just broken goalscoring records. The numbers talk for themselves and in quality they are among the best."
Torres has been in fantastic form of late for his country having scored in his past six Spain appearances and Riera admits he has been particularly impressed by his Liverpool team-mate.
"Fernando has surprised me," he said. "What is good about him is his margin for improvement.
"Personally, having him in my team he is a player who gives you everything and he gives you options.
"For that reason I'm sure that in the next few years he's going to improve more."
