The Brazilian striker will take the weekend off to avoid causing longer-term damage to his hamstring which has so far hampered his campaign.

However, the blow is somewhat offset by the return of Reinaldo's compatriot Henrique, who could start up front alongside Sergio van Dijk.

Postecoglou said Henrique was "jumping out of his skin" to return to the fray but said he was unlikely to last 90 minutes after his comeback from a knee injury was delayed by a suspension last week.

"He'll pose a threat," the Brisbane coach said. "He'll combine well with Serge and the others and do well.

"It doesn't matter whether it's out wide, up front or in the middle, he'll give it everything for as long as he can."

The diminutive Brazilian is just one of a number of attacking weapons at the hands of Postecoglou, with Michael Zullo returning from injury and Tommy Oar in blistering form.

The former Young Socceroos coach said playing to those strengths would give Roar a good chance of backing up last weekend's win with a result over an experienced Glory outfit, but was still deciding whether he would stick to the same back-three formation.

"At home they (Perth) have tended to be fairly adventurous, away from home maybe a little bit more conservative," he said.

"When you look at the players we have available and the types of players, it helps if we pay a more attacking style of play anyway.

"But certainly I was pleased with the way we played last week so it gives the option to play like that again."

Postecoglou confirmed Danny Tiatto (hamstring) has been ruled out, with David Dodd, Mitch Nichols and Roar Youth star Luke Brattan all a chance of slotting into the midfield hole left by Matt McKay (quad).

"We'll have a look at it and one of them will get the opportunity on the weekend the same way Adam Sarota did (last weekend) and did very well," he added.

"I'm sure they're capable of stepping up and filling that hole."
