BRISBANE Roar boss Ange Postecoglou and German import Thomas Broich are worried the FFA's drive to stamp out diving is resulting in genuine spot-kick claims being waved away.
Postecoglou believes genuine penalties are not being awarded due to a big focus with the diving issue with Broich among those suffering as a result.
"I think we're really fanatical about divers in this country but there's real difference between somebody just simulating and somebody getting fouled in the box," Postecoglou told AAP.
"I just don't want players, whether it's Thomas or anyone else, to stop dribbling in the box.
"In trying to stamp out one part of this game, maybe we've just got to keep in check how far we go with that."
Broich said it was much harder to get a penalty in the A-League than in German football.
"It's a funny thing, outside the box you always get those whistles and inside the box it never happens," Broich said.
"In Germany, we get penalties a lot easier and maybe it's a good thing because it's about fairness.
"But I'm not the kind of player who is diving and maybe I should have already gotten one or two penalties."
