The 32-year-old Brazilian winger is out of contract after leaving Thai lower-league club Jumpasri United last month, because the club were experiencing financial issues.

Roar aren't in a position to sign Henrique this season, but Aloisi has invited him to Brisbane training with a view to a contract next term.

Henrique - who won three championships and two premierships with Roar - is keen to play in the A-League again, having failed to settle since leaving Brisbane in 2016.

Roar defender Jade North said: “'Rique is a quality player, he’s loved by the club and all the fans here.

“But that’s out of my hands and something for them to discuss in the office.”

Henrique has been in Brisbane for the past three weeks and wants to relocate his family to Australia, where he previously made almost 150 appearances for the Roar and a dozen for Adelaide United.

The Brazilian’s stint with United came in 2016/17, sandwiched between spells at Malaysian club Negeri Sembilan and Thai top flight contenders Chiangrai United.
