"On behalf of the entire Club, I'd like to personally thank Logan City Council for their contribution and support in making this day possible," Roar Managing Director David Pourre said following today's announcement.

"Our club has never had a permanent facility to call home and we are looking forward to what the future holds here in Logan.

"This is a significant moment in the Club’s history and I know our members, fans and partners will be proud to share this moment with us.

"We cannot wait to work with the local community and build strong foundations in the City of Logan."

City of Logan Mayor, Luke Smith said the Logan Metro Sports Park is a premier facility that will influence sport in the region.

“Logan is now the home of football in Queensland and it’s great to say that the Brisbane Roar Football Club and Football Brisbane now call our city, home,” he said.

“We have invested $9 million into this project that has enabled the transformation to what you see today.”

Chair of Logan City Council’s City Lifestyle Committee, Councillor Steve Swenson thanked Brisbane Roar and Football Queensland for sharing Council’s vision for Logan Metro Sports Park.

“This is an historic moment in your history so be proud of your club and be proud that Logan is your new home and I know this facility will play a big role in the sporting success that awaits you,” he said.

Divisional Councillor and Deputy Mayor, Cherie Dalley said the project will be a boost for the Logan sporting sector.

“This facility will enable players to also develop close ties with a local community that has produced many quality sports men and women,” Cr Dalley said.

The state-of-the-art facility will ensure the Roar can optimise preparations for the remaining four rounds of the Hyundai A-League regular season as Brisbane continue their march towards the 2018 Finals Series.

Following last Saturday’s invaluable victory against ladder leaders Sydney FC, a pleased Head Coach John Aloisi says the new facility is an exciting development for the entire Club.

“This is wonderful news for our Club and it is something which is exciting for our players as we push for finals football. It is fantastic to know that we have such strong local support,” Aloisi concluded.
