Roar are unbeaten in nine games this season with the only loss comng in round two with a 4-0 thrashing by Newcastle Jets in the Hunter.

Their last loss at Suncorp was back in January last season when they fell 4-1 to eventual A-League champions Adelaide United.

Aloisi feels his team has gathered momentum, but still wants improvement against the floundering Wanderers.

“We don’t focus on ‘we’ve gone nine games unbeaten’… we focus on the Wanderers who are a good side,” Aloisi said.

“We’re playing at home so we know we’re strong at home, we’ll be taking the game to them to try keep them on the back foot and play to our ability.

“Last year and this year we’ve been strong at home and we want to keep that going… we know it’s a difficult place for the opposition to come.

“We feel very strong at home, we’re confident at Suncorp - whether it’s the pitch size or the way we play.

“The opposition tires out then we run all over them, it gives the boys confidence to know we’re very strong at home.”

Aloisi placed importance on Danish important Thomas Kristensen to produce as the Roar boss wants to play a possession based game.

And despite Nico Martinez’s fine-form, Aloisi said there were no specific plans for the Argentinian.

“We won’t man-mark anyone, we’re aware of Martinez and what he’s doing… we know they have good players but we also have good players.” he said.

“We’ve kept the ball a lot better in the last three games, that’s important for us and that’s the way we know how to play.

“Our strength is when we can shift the opposition, when we can keep the ball and I think tomorrow night will be the same.

“Kristensen has been really good for us, we know he’s a quality player, a lot of our play starts through him and Matt McKay, so they’re important for us and also they’re intelligent players – they know when to quicken the game or to slow it down.”

Kristensen was looking forward to his first summer Christmas in Brisbane feeling he was in a good place and also had not forgotten the comparisons made with former midfielder Corona earlier in the season.

“[Momentum] is always nice," Kristensen said. "At the start a lot of people talked about comparing me to Corona and that died out a little bit in the last couple of weeks

“Of course I’m doing something right, but again I’m like the team I always like to improve every game and at the moment we’re successful and we need to work hard to stay successful.

“Right now we have the feeling where it doesn’t matter if we play at home or away, we have a feeling we can get something out of every game.”
