Bayern Munich winger Arjen Robben is intent on putting last season behind him after Champions League heartbreak and failure at Euro 2012.
The Netherlands star, speaking at Bayern's pre-season training camp in northern Italy on Monday, ended the season with defeat to Chelsea in the Champions League final, in which Robben missed a penalty in the shootout, and endured a winless Euro 2012 campaign with the Netherlands.
"I don't want to look back. What's happened has happened," Robben said. "We just didn't win the titles that we wanted to win.
"So even if you do win titles then there will be a new season where you'll have to perform, that's just the way things are right now."
The Bundesliga club have added three fresh signings to the squad with Claudio Pizarro returning for his second spell at the club from Werder Bremen, while FC Basel's Xherdan Shaqiri and Wolfsburg's Mario Mandzukic have also joined.
The trio may all be involved in Bayern's first pre-season friendly against a local XI on Tuesday with Shaqiri keen to get immediate game time.
"I will get the chance to play just like the other players do. I am not only capable of playing on the left or the right hand side but I can also be a central midfielder," Shaqiri said.
"For a start, we've got many players in the squad. And beside the league and the cup we're playing in the Champions League."
After leading the league early on the 2011-12 season, Bayern's campaign ended in disappointment as they finished a distant second to Borussia Dortmund, losing to the champions five consecutive times, including defeat in the German Cup final.
