Madrid are reportedly set to hold contract talks with the 24-year-old forward this summer in a bid to extend his current deal, which runs out in 2010.

Those discussions may not be straightforward though with reports in Spain suggesting Robinho is looking for a major salary increase that will give him parity with some of the top earners at the Bernabeu.

Should talks break down there are likely to be no shortage of teams interested in signing the former Santos player, but Robinho's agent Wagner Ribeiro is adamant Madrid remain in pole position.

"Robinho is very happy at Madrid and he wants to continue there. For him, there will be no problems when we talk in May," he said in AS.
