Madrid have long been linked with a move for Kaka, who has been a revelation at Milan since joining the Italian giants from Sao Paulo in 2003 and played a key role in helping them win this season's Champions League.

However, Madrid's hopes of taking the 25-year-old to Spain suffered a blow when Kaka penned a new deal at Milan last year which ties him to the San Siro until 2011.

Robinho believes Kaka would be more than willing to join Madrid if a deal could be struck, but concedes Milan would be loathed to let one of their prize assets leave.

"I don't know if Kaka will sign, because he is a European champion. I know that he likes Real Madrid very much, talks well of the team and has told me he would like to play here, but it is very difficult to see Milan allowing him to leave," Robinho told Radio Marca.

Kaka helped Milan win their seventh European title on Wednesday night, setting up Filippo Inzaghi for his second goal of the final as the Italians beat Liverpool 2-1 in Athens.

Although they are in the hunt for this season's Primera Liga title, Madrid's last piece of major silverware came back in 2003, and Robinho feels the acquisition of Kaka could help bring the glory days back to the Spanish superpowers.

"Real Madrid would win a lot with Kaka. I am sure that he is going to win the Ballon D'or (European Footballer of the Year) this season and he is an excellent person on and off the pitch. Very religious and always calm," added Robinho.
