Robinson admits he would "jump at the chance" to move to a Barclays Premier League club after the Baggies were relegated this season.

And he believes if Mowbray, who is poised to join the Bhoys after the clubs agreed a compensation package, leaves The Hawthorns, several players could follow him through the exit.

Robinson told talkSPORT: "Losing the gaffer is a big blow to us as a group of players.

"It's a massive loss for us and I don't know where the club goes from here.

"I'm an ambitious player and I want to keep going forward and the manager [going] has made a lot of decisions for a lot of people so we'll have to wait and see when we go back in [to pre-season training].

"It's a massive blow for the club and the players who have worked with him over the two-and-a-half years.

"I've thoroughly enjoyed my time with him. It's not gone through yet [Mowbray's move to Parkhead].

"But it looks more than likely that it will and it will be a massive loss to the club."

Robinson said he would consider following Mowbray to Parkhead, but his preference was to stay in the Premier League.

He added: "You would consider a move [to Celtic]. It's a massive club and a big challenge.

"But at the moment I'm contracted to West Brom and I'll just get my head down until I'm told otherwise.

"There was a lot of speculation before the season finished about what was going on with the gaffer.

"From my point of view I would love to stay in the Premier League and if a club came in then I'd jump at the chance to play in it.

"You always keep your options open and if they've given the gaffer the opportunity to talk to a club like Celtic then it would be nice to talk to a Premier League club again. Or to Celtic, you never know. We'll have to wait and see.

"If you know you're not going to get your chance in the Premier League and you have the chance to win trophies at a different club then you jump at the chance.

"That's what you want to achieve in your career. It's a short career and you have to try and make the most of it."
