Despite losing their final Champions League group stage match against Anderlecht, Celtic were celebrating after qualifying for the Round of 32 of the Europa League.
Going into the final matchday, Celtic only needed to pick up a point or lose by less than three goals at home to Anderlecht on Tuesday.
The Belgian side did come away with the victory, however it was only a 1-0 result, meaning Celtic finished third in the group with a better goal difference, with both sides finishing on three points.
Socceroos attacker Tom Rogic came on at half-time with the scores locked at 0-0.
But a Jozo Simunovic own goal put Anderlecht ahead on 62 minutes.
It was a nervous last half hour for Brendan Rodgers' side, but they managed to limit the damage and book a spot in the Europa League.
The Hoops' #UCL campaign is over but the European adventure continues after Christmas.
