Socceroo Tom Rogic has been cleared of any significant damage to his ankle despite missing Celtic’s 1-0 win over Partick Thistle overnight.
The Australian midfielder was replaced at half-time in Celtic’s 2-1 win over Dundee in the Scottish Premier League on Saturday due to the ankle complaint.
The injury sparked fears that Rogic could be out for an extended period of time after being spotted in a moon boot post-game and given his history with ankle problems.
However, Celtic boss Brendan Rodgers revealed after the win over Partick that Rogic could be back playing within the next 10 days.
“He should be fine,” Rodgers said.
“He’s got a knock to his ankle but we are hopeful he’ll be back for Ross County.”
The Hoops are due to play Hamilton in the league on Christmas Eve, before facing County on Thursday 29 December (AEDT).
Rogic has enjoyed a stand-out 2016/17 campaign with Celtic, scoring nine goals in all competitions.
