The midfielder set up the opening goal in the 31st-minute when his cross-shot was driven into the net by Astana defender Evgeni Postnikov.

He lasted 63 minutes before being taken off after a head clash. Celtic were up 3-0.

And although Rogic left the field bleeding, Celtic coach Brendan Rodgers said he didn’t expect the incident to cruel the Australian in any way.

"Tom is fine. He took a real whack on it but he is fine," he said.

"He was smiling at the end, he obviously made a great contribution when he was on. I would expect him to be fine."
