Socceroo Tom Rogic warmed up for Australia’s crucial matches next month by playing his first full 90 minutes and scoring his first goal since December as Celtic crushed Partick Thistle 5-0 overnight.
Rogic returned from a four-month ankle injury lay-off in early April and has slowly been working his way back to full fitness with Celtic already crowned champions.
The Australian midfielder put in a full shift in Friday morning’s win, where he netted the second goal.
Rogic dived and glanced home Leigh Griffiths’ cross from close range with his left foot after 26 minutes.
The goal was Rogic’s first since scoring against Scott McDonald’s Motherwell on December 3.
It was also his first full 90-minute shift since doing so against Hamilton Academical on December 13.
Celtic plays Hearts in their final SPL game on Sunday, before the Scottish Cup final against Aberdeen on Saturday 27 May.
Meanwhile, Ryan Edwards was a half-time substitute for Partick Thistle.
