Socceroo Tom Rogic played the second half as Celtic qualified for the UEFA Champions League group stage for the first time in three years despite a 2-0 loss to Hapoel Be'er Sheva overnight.
The Socceroo replaced James Forrest at half-time, as the Hoops hung on to win 5-4 on aggregate despite an almighty scare.
Rogic might be the only Australian player set to feature in the 2016-17 Champions League with Robbie Kruse linked with a move away from qualified German club Bayer Leverkusen.
Kruse's agent John Grimaud is in Europe with discussions ongoing about a potential switch before the closure of the transfer window next week.
Alex Gersbach's Rosenborg and Terry Antonis' PAOK both crashed out in qualifying.
Elsewhere overnight, Jackson Irvine played the first half as Burton Albion lost 5-0 to Liverpool in the League Cup.
Massimo Luongo was a 71st minute substitute as QPR edged Rochdale 2-1, while Cameron Burgess put in a full shift for Oldham as they lost 2-0 to Preston North End who had Bailey Wright absent.
