Rogic is expected to line up for the Hoops at Camp Nou (starts 4.45am AEST) following an impressive 53-minute display in Saturday’s 5-1 thrashing of rivals Rangers.

The 23-year-old got a taste of the UEFA Champions League group stage in the 2013-14 season when Celtic were grouped with Barca, AC Milan and Ajax.

Rogic mostly sat on the bench during that campaign, only getting 10 minutes against Milan, but has since progressed as a player and is ready for the step-up.

"It’s something that’s pretty special as a player and more than anything, it’s something to look forward to and enjoy,” Rogic said.

“That’s why we play football for nights like tomorrow night. These are special occasions and as a team we are looking to enjoy it. It’s just exciting.”

Barcelona was beaten at home in La Liga on the weekend, going down 2-1 to Alaves. The Catalans seldom lose two in a row, let alone at home.

“It obviously wasn’t ideal for them but they are a top side with quality players and they will be looking to bounce back,” Rogic said.

“We are wary of that and ready for the challenge.

“They are one of the best sides in the world and we are aware of the quality they have individually and as a squad.

“They are well-known for their style of football and the way they play and that’s obviously associated with the best players in the world that they have.

“We respect them and we know where they are in world football but we are in a good moment and certainly believe in ourselves.

"We know it’s going to be difficult but we are full of confidence at the moment and we have reason to believe we have the quality to get a result."

The Australian was eased back into action against Rangers with a view to the Barca game following Socceroos duty where he played in Perth and Abu Dhabi.
