Socceroo Tom Rogic returned to competitive action for the first time in almost five months as Celtic suffered a league title hangover with a 1-1 home draw with Partick Thistle overnight.
Rogic was a 62nd minute substitute for Celtic who conceded moments after his arrival on the pitch, before Scott Sinclair failed to convert a 66th minute penalty.
The appearance was Rogic's first since initially injuring his ankle in mid-December, before suffering a further injury in training in late January.
.@Tom_Rogic @StuArmstrong16 @ebouekouassi97 A great reception for @Tom_Rogic in particular, the Australian internationalist returning to action after a long injury lay-off. 👏

Celtic boss Brendan Rodgers said: “The plan beforehand, as well as giving players game-time who hadn’t played so much of late, was to give Tom Rogic 30 minutes. In that moment we were making the changes, we made a mistake which we could have defended better.
“In that little couple of minutes spell when we were getting our shape again with the changes Partick Thistle scored. At 1-1, sometimes games like that can get away from you. The other team were in good form and get confidence.”
Celtic had clinched their sixth Scottish Premier League title in a row over the weekend, but the overnight result was just the third time all season they’ve dropped points.

Meanwhile, Ryan Edwards played the full game for Partick, along with Scott Motherwell elsewhere as Motherwell drew 0-0 with Hamilton Academical.
Elsewhere overnight, Mathew Leckie was dropped to the Ingolstadt bench and got five minutes off the bench in struggling Ingolstadt’s crucial 3-2 win away to Augsburg in Germany’s Bundesliga.
Mitchell Langerak played a full game as Stuttgart scored a last-gasp leveller in a 1-1 draw at home to 1860 Munich. The result sees Stuttgart slip from top spot in the Germany’s 2.Bundesliga.
Brad Jones kept a clean sheet as Feyenoord won 8-0 in the Dutch Eredivisie, while Jason Davidson put in a full shift for Groningen in a 2-0 win over NEC Nijmegen who didn’t feature Stefan Mauk in their matchday squad.
Young Aussie Ajdin Hrustic was an injury-time substitute for Groningen.
Brad Smith warmed the pine as Bournemouth drew 2-2 away to his former club Liverpool in the English Premier League.
Fellow left-back Alex Gersbach played the full 90 minutes for Rosenborg in a 3-0 win in Norway’s Eliteserien.
Finally Tomi Juric played 103 minutes as Luzern missed out on the Swiss Cup final after losing 6-5 on penalties to Sion following a 0-0 draw in their semi-final.
