Melbourne Victory winger Marco Rojas has impressed all season but couldn’t add to his goal tally of 12 this campaign in the 1-0 win over Brisbane Roar in the semi-final.
Rojas has enjoyed a super season and looked lively in the win against Roar skinning Corey Brown on two occasions.
Victory now meet archrivals Sydney FC in the Grand Final on Sunday.
On the hour mark, Rojas almost broke the goalless deadlock when he flicked the ball over Brown’s head and got into the penalty area, only for his final shot to be denied by Jamie Young.
“I can’t really say much about it because I didn’t finish it off but it would’ve been good, but maybe I’m saving them for next week,” Rojas joked.
“We would have loved to have won by a few more goals, all that mattered was winning the game and getting into the Grand Final.

“It’s been a pretty good season, it started off very well. There are always things to work on and it’s been a bit quiet in the last few months.
“That was only the second semi-final I’ve been at and now the first grand final I’ll be participating in so I’m happy.”

Rojas is still yet to win a trophy at professional club level, asked by FourFourTwo about what it would mean, the Kiwi did not want to talk too early.
“It’s difficult to say now, if you’re there and we win it ask me that same question when I’m hopefully holding the trophy,” he responded.
“It’ll be unreal, we work hard all season to try and get into that position, we’re in that position now and it’s up to us to finish it off.”
