Roma coach Luciano Spalletti insists he`s not troubled by the selection headache posed by the stunning form of Mirko Vucinic in Wednesday`s 3-2 win over Lazio.
Vucinic replaced injured captain Francesco Totti and staked his claim for a permanent spot in the starting line-up with a goal and an assist.
With Spalletti preferring his attack speared by a sole out and out striker, Totti and Vucinic have rarely featured in the same XI, but the Roma coach believes they can play together.
"Vucinic can also play with Totti," he told Sky after the derby victory. "The two can move around in different areas.
"Even today Mirko was moving everywhere. The two can play together very well, like they have done before."
When the two have been named in the same side, Vucinic has been forced to play out of position on the left wing.
But since Totti`s injury Vucinic has gone from strength to strength in his natural position as striker, scoring the only goal in Roma`s vital win at AC Milan, before his decisive derby role.
Asked whether Roma could now have a two-pronged attack, Vucinic remained coy.
"You'll have to ask Spalletti about that," he said.
"What's important is that the team won. It doesn't matter that I scored or got an assist."
Lazio coach Tommaso Rocchi was disappointed with the result which saw his side drop to 14th in the table.
"It`s a pity. We would have liked to get a different result," he told Sky.
"It`s also a pity because our performance deserved a point.
"Roma were fortunate in that they were able to capitalise on the chances we gave them.
"But for long parts of the match we were in control of the game."
