JULIO Baptista has admitted he would be open to joining Roma after the Serie A giants made an approach to Real Madrid for the services of the Brazil international.
Madrid have made Baptista expendable this summer as they look to cash in on fringe players to fund a possible move for Cristiano Ronaldo, and could sell him for around 15 million euros.
"I am on holiday in Brazil and I do not know anything," Baptista told Marca when asked about a possible move. "My plan at the moment is to stay in Madrid, but I do not know what can happen in the future and Roma is a great club."
The two clubs have yet to agree on a fee as Roma is hoping to secure a deal for less than Madrid's asking price. Agent Ernesto Bronzetti told Radio Radio in Italy that talks are continuing.
