Veteran Brazilian forward Romario has ruled out the possibility of a return to the national squad.
Romario failed to impress during his guest player stint with Adelaide last season, scoring just once in four games.
But the Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF) claimed weeks ago that the 1994 World Cup winner, who finally scored his 1,000th career goal earlier this year, could be named by coach Dunga for one of the 2010 World Cup qualifiers as a tribute to his achievement.
But the 41-year-old told Brazilian newspaper O Dia: "I am at an age where I can't lose all sense of shame.
"I can not be a joke for the entire world. This is ridiculous. What am I going to do in the team?"
