Romario has wished Luiz Felipe Scolari and Carlos Alberto Parreira luck with their reported respective roles with Brazil.
Former coach Mano Menezes was sacked last week which led to the resignation of director Andres Sanchez.
Romario, who won the World Cup with Brazil in 1994, tweeted the message to Scolari – who is expected to be named coach – and Parreira, Sanchez's likely replacement.
"I wish luck to my friends Parreira and Scolari," he said.
"Thank God these incompetents at CBF hit at least once. I'm sure now that the wrongs things that happened (under Menezes) will cease to happen. They will summon the best players at the moment (to play for Brazil)."
Romario enjoyed an 18-year career representing his country, scoring 71 times in 85 appearances.
