In 2015, Cristiano Ronaldo watch was officially on in Melbourne.

Three years later, in similar fashion, Brazilian World Cup winner Ronaldo is in the education state to launch Real Madrid’s World of Experience.

It was announced on Wednesday that the Spanish giants will be beginning the world project in June in the self-proclaimed sporting capital.

An interactive facility will be brought to the Melbourne Museum Plaza in Carlton with tickets going on sale on Thursday starting from $19.50.

Ronaldo arrived in Melbourne for the first time on Tuesday night and was impressed with the city’s sports precinct.

“I’ve been to Sydney twice and I’m happy to be here, I want to come back again for the Australian Open because I love and play tennis,” Ronaldo told FourFourTwo at the MCG.

“I had a seven hour flight from Madrid to Dubai, then three hours of waiting at the airport and then another 14 hours to Melbourne.

“It’s great to be here, it’s great for Real Madrid fans that they’ll get this experience here. I’m sure fans will love it and it’s a great opportunity for them to be closer to our club. I hope people can enjoy this experience a lot.

“It’s incredible that one city loves so many sports and all kinds of sport. For the whole year they have big sporting events here, so it’s great.

“I’m sure people love it and I’d love to be here for one year to watch all these sporting events. I still work a lot, but maybe one day.”

Real Madrid’s Director of Institutional Relations and former player, Emilio Butragueno, was rapt they were starting the worldwide event in Melbourne.

Butragueno also recalled Real Madrid’s visit to a packed MCG against Roma and Manchester City in 2015, which fills him with confidence.

“Technology is going to help us provide our fans with an almost real experience,” Butragueno told FourFourTwo.

“Our stadium is one of the temples of football. We’re talking about 80,000 people, but I’m sure in the future we can provide and offer our fans all over the world (the opportunity) to feel what a spectator feels at our stadium.

“That’s why technology is going to help us go closer and provide better experiences to our fans.

“What we want to do is build bridges with our fans. For many of them, most of them, Spain is very far from Australia and it’s almost impossible to go there. Bringing our Real Madrid spirit here is really important for us.

“Our summer tours had that purpose to be close to our fans and this is another opportunity to do it, a touring exhibition which is going to bring trophies and memorabilia.

"They’re going to travel to Santiago Bernabeu, it’s going to be fantastic.”

Ronaldo also recalled his encounter with the Socceroos at the 2006 World Cup in Germany, as the Brazilians came away with a 2-0 win in Munich courtesy of Adriano and Fred.

The two-time World Cup winner couldn't remember Vince Grella’s studs up challenge which caught his shin, as referee Markus Merk refrained from brandishing a yellow card which would’ve ruled him out of the Croatia game.

The Brazilian star jokingly said it happened many times in his career, but remembered the crowd was mainly on Australia’s side.

“I remember the whole stadium was yellow and I was looking around, it was not for Brazil,” Ronaldo joked.

“It was a very difficult match. We finally won 2-0, but it was a hard game.

“I know Australian football is still improving, it’s good for Australia, but it’s still improving and I wish them all the best for the World Cup. It’s a great opportunity to show how they’ve improved.”
