AC MILAN playmaker Kaka insists unwanted Barcelona star Ronaldinho would be welcome at the San Siro.
After an injury-hit season, Ronaldinho has been told by Barca that he is not part of their plans as they make wholesale changes after two trophyless campaigns.
Milan were one of the first clubs to publicly declare their interest in the two-time FIFA World Player of the Year and, while others have joined the fray, the Rossoneri remain in pole position.
Despite being reluctant to talk about the possible arrival of his Brazil team-mate, Kaka insisted that should the move be completed he would be happy to play alongside the fallen star.
"I'd better not (talk about transfers). I'm a player, it's not my place," he told Italian newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport.
"Ronaldinho is a champion, I don't know if he'll come, but if he does we will all be happy.
"I've played with him in the national team, and there's never been any problem."
Kaka has spent most of pre-season in Brazil, where he underwent surgery last month on a knee injury that had troubled him for most of last season.
However, the current FIFA World Player of the Year, who is back in Italy after recovering at former club Sao Paulo, claims his recuperation is going well and that he will be fit and ready to go come the start of Milan's pre-season training.
"I'm undergoing physiotherapy, and I'm satisfied with it," he said.
"Yes my knee is still giving me problems but I'm sure I'll recover soon. I'll be ready for the return to pre-season training on July 16."
