SYDNEY FC striker Alex Brosque insists the the A-League is his immediate focus not the Socceroos as the Sky Blues prepare to face North Queensland Fury tonight.

"I'm just coming back from injury so the main thing is to do my bit to turn the situation around here and get a couple of wins," said Brosque, who was yesterday named in a 19-man Socceroos squad for the October 9 clash with Paraguay at the SFS.
"I felt good on Sunday but I had a couple of chances that I felt I could have done better with. It could have been a very long week of training considering the performance that we put in on Sunday and not getting the win, so it's good that we can get back on the field quickly and make amends.
"We said we wanted at least seven points from the three home games; we've got one so we're looking for two wins on the trot. Mentally everybody is ready to go and I think we can do it."
However, the Sky Blues will again be without creative midfielder Nicky Carle (broken toe) along with first team youngsters Kofi Danning, Terry Antonis, Rhyan Grant and Dimitri Petratos who are all currently in China with the Qantas Young Socceroos for the AFC U19 Championships.
Fury, who welcome back a host of players from Olyroos duty including former Sky Blues striker Chris Payne, downed Sydney FC 2-1 at Dairy Farmers Stadium back in August.
While Brosque said he was over the moon about his national call-up he made it clear that he was ready to cause havoc in Sky Blue on Wednesday night.
"I'm very excited and surprised to be called up. I didn't expect the call-up at all," Brosque said."It's a big shock but I'm glad to have the chance to come in and hopefully do well enough to impress the coach.
"I'm looking forward to it but obviously the main focus is on tomorrow night against North Queensland."
Ahead of the Sky Blues final training hit out this evening Sydney FC coach Vitezslav Lavicka urged for his side to turn the wealth of chances they are creating into goals.
"We just need to score the goals," Lavicka said "We've been suffering from the same problem all season. We're finding it difficult to score.
"We need to improve in the final third and be more creative. We're creating the chances but at this level it's not enough, we need to be aggressive as well. We have to get players wide and get the crosses in early."
Although yet to register their first win of the season Lavicka said his team was as upbeat as ever.
"It's frustrating that we are still chasing that first victory but I cannot criticise the players," Lavicka said. "They've done very little wrong and they continue to work hard.
"The players and the coaching staff are all staying positive. I think we have the quality players and there's a good chance for some of our players to play for the Socceroos. We're focusing on team quality and preparing fully for the game against North Queensland.
"We know [North Queensland] have an enthusiastic young side with strong defenders. We lost to them in round two so this game provides us with a good opportunity to get our own back and cut the gap between us.
"We all firmly believe that the whole team as an attacking force can get the first victory."
