AUSTRALIA have dropped four places and tumbled out of the world's top 20 footballing nations in the latest FIFA world rankings which were released today by the sport's governing body.
Australia's last three outings have resulted in a defeat, a draw in Switzerland and victory over Poland.
The Socceroos are now ranked 24th.
Spain remain top of the pile with the Netherlands in second spot. Germany climb one place to third with Brazil in fourth.
Argentina and England are fifth and sixth respectively. France have crashed six places and are now ranked 27th in the world.
New Zealand are now inside the world's top 50, currently ranked 49, sandwiched between Peru and Bolivia.
