Palermo coach Delio Rossi has insisted he will not resign despite his side suffering a humiliating 7-0 home defeat to Udinese this afternoon.
The Sicilians trailed 5-0 by half-time and conceded two more goals in the second half to fall to a shocking loss at La Favorita.
Rossi said: "I will not resign, it's not my style. I am combative and I just don't leave at the first sign of trouble.
"I will continue with my head held high."
Rossi admitted his side, who mustered just one shot on goal in the opening half, had an off-day.
"There are not seven goals difference between Udinese and Palermo," he said. "But today things went badly for us.
"I am the only one responsible for what has happened today.
"However, we cannot forget that we have done well this season."
The result, Palermo's third straight defeat, has piled further pressure on Rossi.
Palermo, who have dropped to eighth in Serie A, travel to Rome to take on Lazio next weekend.
