EXCLUSIVE: Paul Ince's Blackburn Rovers are seriously interested in either Jason Culina or Mark Bresciano to fill a spot in the club's midfield ahead of the new English Premier League season.
Sources in the UK tell au.fourfourtwo.com that Rovers boss has Palermo's Bresciano and PSV's Culina "in his top three or four" for one position on the right of midfield at Ewood Park.
The transfer would mean fellow Socceroo Brett Emerton would move into a more central role to accommodate the new signing.
Culina is also attracting interest from two other EPL clubs.
"He scored against Newcastle a few years ago in a European game and they've been tracking him ever since. And Fulham are also looking at him," adds the source.
"But Blackburn is probably the strongest bet at this moment."
Culina, 27, in his final year of his contract at his Dutch giants, is understood to be keen on moving to the English Premiership after a successful eight years in the Netherlands.
Bresciano has stated he is keen on moving to another country after proving himself in the technically adept Serie A ten years after arriving from Carlton in Melbourne.
The Palermo man was very close to a move to Manchester City a year ago, before that fell through at the last minute.
