EXCLUSIVE: Former Sydney FC midfielder Ruben Zadkovich today agreed a two year deal with Derby County ending months of speculation about his future.
The 21-year-old will join the club on July 1 after passing his medical today and is set to make his debut in the Championship next season for the relegated EPL club.
"A number of clubs have been interested in him," manager Paul Jewell said. "We wanted to make sure we didn't miss out on a fantastic talent."
Zadkovich will hold a press conference next week in Sydney.
"Obviously he's disappointed not to have joined the Jets as he has a high regard for Gary Van Egmond but this was an offer he couldn't turn down," say sources in the UK.
